HOW TO MAKE A BIRDCAGE CORNER PLATFORM

Now, mark the centre point on all the pieces. The distance between the centre points should be about 12 inches (30 cm). Mark the centre point on both sides of the board. The length of the board should be approximately 24 inches (60 cm) long.
Step 3: Attach the boards together
Now attach the boards together by screwing them one at a time. Make sure that the screws go through the centre of the board and not along the edge. Also, make sure that the screws are not too close to each other. It may take a couple of tries before getting it right. Once done, you can move on to the next step.
Step 4: Making the legs
For making the legs, you need to measure the height from the floor to where you want to put the platform. In my case, I wanted to put the platform on top of a bookshelf, so I measured 6 feet (1.83 m) from the ground. So I made the legs 7 inches (18 cm) high. You can choose any height that suits you best.
To make the legs, you need three pieces of wood. Measure the length of the leg and mark the middle point. Then draw a line perpendicular to the measurement. Cut the lines using a jigsaw. Use a drill bit to bore holes along the lines. After drilling, sand down the edges using a belt sander. Finally, glue the legs together.
Step 5: Adding the crossbars
To make the crossbars, you need to measure 8 inches (20 cm) and cut them using a jigsaw. Sand down the edges using sandpaper. Glue the crossbars to the bottom of the legs.
Step 6: Finishing touches
You can decorate the platform according to your taste. We added some paint to the platform and painted the whole thing white. You can also stain the wood to make it darker.
